Message from the EDD Director

Proven, Tested and True

On this Veterans Day, we recognize and honor all that veterans have given for our country and our way of life

The California Employment Development Department (EDD) is dedicated to providing employment services that help veterans make the transition from military service to California’s workforce. And I strongly encourage more employers to join us in hiring veterans.

I am proud that the EDD has many veterans on staff, including some focused on helping their military brothers and sisters. We know veterans bring a strong work ethic, commitment, and specialized skills to the workplace.

On this special Veterans Day web page we’ve highlighted the services available to connect veterans and employers, along with success stories illustrating how those connections have made a difference in our state’s economy.
