Veterans’ Employment-Related Assistance Program (VEAP)
In coordination with the California Workforce Investment Board, EDD funds organizations to offer services targeted to meet the veterans’ unique needs and occupational goals with an emphasis on those who recently returned to civilian life. Agencies are tasked to prepare veterans for careers in a variety of fields in high demand.
- Northern Region
Includes the counties of Alameda, Alpine, Amador, Butte, Calaveras, Colusa, Contra Costa, Del Norte, El Dorado, Glenn, Humboldt, Lake, Lassen, Marin, Mariposa, Mendocino, Merced, Modoc, Monterey, Napa, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Sacramento, San Benito, San Francisco, San Joaquin, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Shasta, Sierra, Siskiyou, Solano, Sonoma, Stanislaus, Sutter, Tehama, Trinity, Tuolumne, Yolo, and Yuba. - Los Angeles/Ventura Region
Includes the counties of Los Angeles and Ventura. - Southern Region
Includes the counties of Fresno, Imperial, Inyo, Kern, Kings, Madera, Mono, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Tulare.
