Summary: The African American Community Empowerment Organization prepares homeless youth and adults for the job market with resume/application development, media skills (i.e., camera work, editing, writing), computer training, preparation for GED, and vocational English instruction. This project will stress the importance of a good attitude to raise for raising participant’s self-esteem. Professionals within the community will provide counseling in a pro bono arrangement. Transportation is also provided, and residents are picked up from shelters and other areas when necessary. |

needs in the community for workers in the information technology and health care
