Labor Day 2018
Labor Day is a special holiday here at the Employment Development Department (EDD) as it is a reminder of what we have been tasked to do for California. We are proud to be part of a statewide workforce development system that connects California workers and employers with a variety of employment-related services.
In honor of Labor Day, we have created this web page and corresponding information to provide you a glimpse into California’s strong economy, show you the industries creating the most jobs in each region of the state, and introduce you to several California employers who needed skilled workers and the job seekers connected to those career opportunities with the help of training and job search assistance.
