Personal Affairs

  1. Was the job the claimant was referred to or offered, considered suitable employment?
  2. Did the claimant refuse the offer or referral for reasons which constitute good cause? Do those reasons raise a question of availability?
  3. Was there any reasonable alternative to attending to the personal matters at that particular time? If so, did the claimant attempt to postpone the personal affairs?
  4. If it was impossible to reschedule the personal affairs, did the claimant contact the employer and attempt to postpone the interview or the starting date of the job?
