The California Army National Guard (National Guard) currently has opportunities for individuals interested in military service.

The National Guard is a unique component of the US Armed Forces that responds to national, state, and local emergencies and missions to provide resources, services, and relief. While serving in the National Guard, individuals serve part-time, which allows them to maintain their employment or pursue their education.

The National Guard offers paid training to learn a marketable skill or trade. There are more than 150 jobs in various career fields including the following:

  • Mechanical and maintenance.
  • Medical.
  • Supply and logistics.
  • Telecommunications.
  • And more.

Additionally, individuals can earn benefits such as the GI Bill to pay for tuition costs and other educational expenses, insurance, retirement, and enlistment bonuses.
