Federal Grant Funding Disclosure: Stevens Amendment

Workforce Services Information Notice
WSIN22-11

Issued: September 29, 2022

The EDD is pleased to announce a new Federal Grant Funding Disclosure webpage to assist recipients of Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act funding to comply with the federal requirements of the Stevens Amendment.

The Stevens Amendment is a federal appropriation law that requires grantees (i.e., EDD) and subrecipients (i.e., Local Workforce Development Boards, community based-organizations, etc.) of the US Departments of Labor, Education, and Health and Human Services, who receive funding, include a Federal Funding Disclosure Statement on all public communications of a federally-funded program, project, or activity (e.g., Adult, Dislocated Worker, and Youth programs; National Dislocated Worker Grant; Governor’s Discretionary Grants, etc.).

In support of the EDDs administration of federal employment and training programs, the Federal Grant Funding Disclosure webpage was created to provide helpful implementation guidance for subrecipients, such as:

  • General Information about the Stevens Amendment.
  • Frequently Asked Questions about the Stevens Amendment.
  • Compliant examples of the Federal Funding Disclosure Statement.

For more information, visit the EDDs Federal Grant Funding Disclosure: Stevens Amendment webpage. If you have any questions regarding these requirements, contact your assigned Regional Advisor or Project Manager.
