Federal Interagency Military Spouse Career Expo on October 12, 2022

The USDA Employee Organization and Military Spouse Association will be hosting a virtual career fair for Military Spouses on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 from 10 am – 4 pm ET (7 am – 1 pm PT). This event will provide military spouses with an insider guide on how to navigate jobs with federal agencies and give them keys they need for successful employment. This job expo event is open to spouses of active duty services members as well as spouses of National Guard members, Reservists and Veterans.

Prior to the Event

The Military Spouse Association encourages spouses to connect with the Department of Defense Spouse Education and Career Opportunities (SECO) Program Career Coach to get a FREE review of their federal resume. Contact a SECO Career coach at 1-800-342-9647 or use the Live Chat feature in the header of the MySECO website for additional guidance.

Part 1 of the Event: 10 am – 12:30 pm ET (7 – 9:30 am PT)

Dr. Jill Biden will offer the opening remarks, followed by a segment hosted by the Office of Personnel Management. This educational portion will be geared toward advising military spouses on what to do and what not to do when creating their resume and submitting it through USA jobs.

Part 2 of the Event: 1 – 4 pm ET (10 am – 1 pm PT)

After lunch will be the Career Expo. Military Spouses will have the unique opportunity to network directly with human resources staff from various federal agencies (listed below) so that the military spouse can get an inside scoop on how to tailor their resume toward the position to which they are applying:
