Understanding Your Payment Status
Status Status Explanation
Appeal An appeal was filed on this claim. While the appeal is pending, you must continue to certify for benefits. If you are found eligible, you will receive any unpaid benefits for this week.
Cancelled We cancelled the payment for this week. Payments may be cancelled to avoid improper payments.
Credit Applied to Overpayment Your entire benefit payment for this week was applied to an overpayment. Refer to the Notice of Overpayment (DE 1444CT) or Notice of Denial of Benefits and Overpayment (DE 1480Z) that was mailed to you.
Disqualification This week was not eligible for payment because of a disqualification. Refer to the Notice of Determination (DE 1080CZ) that was mailed to you.
Duplicate You submitted more than one certification for this week. Only the first certification will be processed for payment, and any others will show a Duplicate status.
Excessive Earnings Your earnings were too high this week to qualify for payment. The earnings you reported, when reduced by $25 or 25%, were more than your weekly benefit amount.
False Statement Penalty Week This week was not paid and your certification was credited to your false statement penalty. Refer to the Notice of Determination (DE 1080CZ) that was mailed to you. To serve your penalty weeks, you must continue to certify and maintain your eligibility to receive benefits.
Fully Employed You reported that you worked full time this week. You will not be paid for weeks you worked full time. You can stop certifying for benefits if you no longer need them. If you were fully employed for two consecutive weeks, you will have to reopen your claim to request additional unemployment benefits.
Not Paid You were not paid for this week because of the status of your unemployment claim. Make sure you have a remaining claim balance and that the benefit year end date has not passed. If your claim is still active, wait two weeks and recheck the certification status in your Claim Summary for updates. You must continue to certify for benefits if your claim has a remaining balance and the benefit year end date has not passed. If the status doesn’t change after two weeks, call 1-800-300-5616.
Overpayment You were paid unemployment benefits this week that you were not eligible to receive. Refer to the Notice of Overpayment (DE 1444CT) or Notice of Denial of Benefits and Overpayment (DE 1480Z) that was mailed to you.
Overpayment Cancelled We cancelled the overpayment amount for this week’s certification. You must continue to certify to receive any benefits you may be eligible for.
Overpayment Waived We determined that you meet specific criteria to waive the overpayment amount for this week. You are not required to repay your benefit amount for this week.
Paid Your payment has been issued for this week. This status includes conditional payments.
Paid/Credit Applied to Overpayment Part of your benefit payment for this week was applied to an overpayment. Refer to the Notice of Overpayment (DE 1444CT) or Notice of Denial of Benefits and Overpayment (DE 1480Z) that was mailed to you. For questions about your overpayment, call 1-800-676-5737 or you can make a payment online.
Pending This week’s certification is pending until an issue with your claim has been resolved. If your payment remains pending for more than two weeks, we may process a conditional payment as we continue reviewing the issue. Visit conditional payments to find out if you are eligible for conditional payments.
Reissued The certification form for this week has been reissued to you because it was either incomplete, contained errors, or was submitted too soon. You must resubmit your certification for this week and correct any issues.
Successive Disqualification – False Statement This week’s payment was credited to your successive disqualification – false statement penalty. Refer to the Notice of Determination (DE 1080CZ) that was mailed to you. To serve your penalty weeks, you must continue to certify and maintain your eligibility to receive benefits.
